The Studio Experience
Two hours in Paula's Stockholm studio. Learn, experiment, and leave with your own work of art.
Book Your Session
This is not a crowded workshop. It's a private session — just you, or you and one other person — with Paula in her studio at Detroit Stockholm. Over two hours you'll see works in progress, talk about art over fika, and create your own piece in a technique you choose: acrylic painting, drawing, oil pastels on paper or canvas, collage, lino print, and more. You don't need any experience — just curiosity.

An Experience to Give — or to Share
A birthday gift
Give someone two hours of creativity in a real artist's studio — a gift they will actually remember.
An anniversary
Celebrate together: two easels, one studio, and something you made side by side.
Parent & child
Create together — a shared experience for parents and children aged 10 and up.
A creative date
With a partner or a friend: skip the restaurant, make something instead.
Want to give it as a gift with an open date? Contact Paula to arrange a gift booking.

Your Host
Paula Elion is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Stockholm and a member of the artist collective Detroit Stockholm. She has exhibited internationally — in Sweden, Germany, Israel, Argentina, Mexico, Serbia, Finland, and the United States — and treats the studio as a laboratory: a place for experimentation, play, and honest conversation about art.
In the Studio Experience she shares that laboratory with you.

Questions & Answers
Do I need any experience?
None at all. The session is adapted to you — complete beginners are very welcome, and so are practicing artists who want to try a new technique.
Is the price per person or per session?
Per session. 1 000 kr incl. VAT covers the full two hours whether you come alone or bring one other person.
How do I pay?
By Swish, after your booking is confirmed and before the visit. No payment is taken on this website or through Calendly.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes — free cancellation or rescheduling up to 7 days before your session. Within 7 days, please get in touch and we will do our best to find a new time.
Can I give it as a gift?
Absolutely — it makes a wonderful birthday or anniversary gift. Book a time on behalf of the recipient, or contact Paula to arrange a gift booking with an open date.
Can I bring my child?
Yes — parent & child is one of the most popular formats. Minimum age is 10, and the session is adapted to the child's age.
What should I bring?
Nothing — all materials are included. Just wear clothes that can get some paint on them.
Do I keep what I make?
Yes. Everything you create during the session is yours to take home.
What languages does Paula speak?
English, Spanish, and Swedish — Swedish with a smile and a touch of Swenglish.
